But so has something else: the quiet strength he passed on. Not in words. In essence. This piece isn’t just about grief. It’s about what lives on. What was quietly left behind. What I carry forward.

Somewhere between tide and memory, my dad reached out and caught one more king. A true story about fishing, legacy, laughter, and love.

Motherhood is funny like that. You give and give and give. You build and grow and reach. And then, at the end of the day, you find yourself in the kitchen telling a half-asleep teenager about the empire of ideas you’re constructing. And somehow, that’s enough.

He didn’t teach me through lectures. He taught me by living it. And now, in every quiet act of leadership, I carry him.
