Hi, I'm Katherine

It's great to meet you.

I believe we are capable of creating lives more beautiful than we can imagine.

We don't get to choose everything that happens to us.

But we do get to choose who we become because of it and the life we intentionally create from there.

If you've found your way here, I hope you'll feel like you're walking beside a friend rather than reading about a stranger.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you'll stay awhile.

With love,

About Me

I'm in one of the most unexpected and beautiful seasons of my life.

After years of rebuilding, I've finally found something I didn't know I needed:

Space.

Space to breathe.

Space to wonder.

Space to create.

Space to live fully and experience true inner peace.

I grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska, where my family's business, Tatsuda's IGA, served our community for more than a century. It was far more than a grocery store. It was a true community gathering place, woven into the lives of generations of families. Growing up there shaped who I am. It taught me that people matter, community matters, and that showing up matters.

Life was never just the grocery store. While helping lead the family business, I was also raising three incredible children, acting on local stages, consulting and coaching leaders, volunteering for causes I cared deeply about, and trying to squeeze every drop out of this one precious life.

Then everything changed.

A landslide destroyed Tatsuda's.

It took far more than a building.

I lost the place that had anchored my life, my daily connection to community, a profound sense of purpose, and deeply embedded parts of my identity. For the first time, I found myself asking a question I had never needed to ask before:

Who am I when the life I've always known no longer exists?

The years that followed brought more loss than I ever imagined.

I lost my dad after a short battle with cancer.

A relationship I believed was built on love and safety turned out to be built on something else entirely.

I found myself leading publicly through one of the most difficult seasons of my life, helping guide a school district through crisis after crisis while trying to hold my own world together.

I kept showing up.

Not because I had all the answers.

Because showing up was what the moment required.

Those experiences changed me.

They deepened my compassion, expanded my curiosity, and reminded me just how precious this life really is.

These days, I'm far more interested in creating than recovering.

I'm exploring new places, taking acting classes, writing, learning, making friends with farm animals, chasing ideas that light me up, and asking myself one question over and over:

If I weren't limiting myself, what would I create with this one precious life?

That's what you'll find here.

Not a perfectly curated version of life.

The real one.

The beautiful.

The brutal.

The ordinary.

The extraordinary.

The grief.

The laughter.

The adventures.

The quiet moments that somehow change everything.

I don't pretend to have life figured out.

I'm simply committed to living it as fully, honestly, and intentionally as I can.

If these stories leave you feeling a little more hopeful, a little more curious, or a little more inspired to create a life that feels deeply and authentically your own, then sharing them will have been worth it.

I'm so glad you're here.

With love,
