Happy Friday!
Happy Friday!

This week has been crazy.

It started with two days in bed,

and rolled right into big events,

difficult decisions,

exciting life changes,

huge accomplishments for my kids,

practicing patience,

learning all about corporate tax law,

and holding a lot of space for other people's emotions.

Laughter, tears,

an accidental F-bomb,

a feeling of deep satisfaction in one minute,

and in the very next being in a situation that challenged my leadership skills in significant ways.

And very shortly after, I ended up eating lunch in the same restaurant as a certain person.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of my dad’s death.

I miss him.

This week feels like a throwback to the life we shared running Tatsuda’s—

a nonstop mix of problems to solve,

celebrations to be had, successes and losses,

connection and disconnect,

so many highs and lows.

It’s interesting to be back in something that feels so familiar…

and experience it this differently.

Mentally, physically, emotionally—

I feel better than I ever have. The decision I made last year to walk away,

even though it was brutally painful,

was the very best decision I have ever made.
