Sometimes life hands you a window—

small, bright, unexpected—

and you get to decide whether to step through it.

So I said yes.

Yes to a last-minute weekend escape.

Yes to new roads, new faces, new air.

Yes to the version of me who is open, alive, and ready for whatever beauty decides to meet her.

I’m packing light, leaving the week behind,

and heading into a couple of days that weren’t on the calendar

but feel exactly right.
