Christmas is my second favorite holiday.

Maybe because I prefer cooking a full turkey dinner

over playing Santa Claus.

I always thought I’d make an excellent Mrs. Claus.

I know someday I’ll get to live out that dream.

In the meantime,

Christmas is my second favorite holiday.

The hustle and the bustle.

Cozy nights and Christmas songs.

The chance to create a little magic

and make sure the people around me know they are loved.

This Christmas feels different than ones in the past.

I’m way ahead on present buying,

and my wrapping is basically done.

I feel the ache of this year.

And I am tired.

So I’m taking my time.

Moving gently.

Moving intentionally.

Embracing the magic.

Surrounded by care, warmth, and love.

And fully stepping into my 2025 glow-up.

It is well deserved.
