Truly Happy

Happiness is not new to me.

It has been here a lot, lately.

Steady, faithful,

threaded through my days like quiet music.

I have been living in its rhythm,

sustaining joy,

tasting freedom,

breathing ease.

But today,

I felt it differently—

not as something fragile,

but as something fully mine.

It shimmered in me,

sure and unshaken.

It belonged not to circumstance,

but to the life I have claimed,

to the woman I have become.

My happiness is not fragile.

Or surface level.

It runs deep.

It is steady,

It is true.

Unshaken by the winds of yesterday.
