The Lodge Home Decor Co.

Two years ago, I launched a business —
a fake one —
just to “brand” Christmas gifts for someone special.
Year one was scrappy startup mode:
I bought real lodge looking products from real stores,
wrapped them myself,
and slapped a handwritten label on everything that
proudly proclaimed Lodge Home Decor Co.
It was ridiculous.
And honestly adorable.
By year two, the company grew (creatively, not financially).
I upgraded our branding to Canva,
designed an official-looking label,
and suddenly my gifts looked like they belonged in a
high-end lodge gift shop instead of…
you know… wherever I actually bought them.
It was an inside joke that lived quietly between two people.
A way of making simple gifts feel intentional, thoughtful, and fun.
And although life has changed,
the memory of that little pretend business still feels warm.
So this year,
continuing the tradition of a company that never truly existed…
here’s what the Lodge Home Decor Co. would have “sold” this Christmas season.
