Tomorrow is the end of an era and the beginning of my next great adventure.
And I am excited.
Jack graduated from high school in May.
This summer has been an exercise in patience, waiting for the day we move him to college.
And tomorrow is the day.
The girls have been out of the house for two years, and the change in my everyday family structure has been hard on top of everything else.
And now Jack, my baby, will be out of the house too.
I know it will be an adjustment.
I know it will take time to get used to.
I probably have tears to cry.
And I have so many ideas for how I will fill my time and what I will do with myself.
But before I leave him safely in his dorm, we have a road trip to do.
Quality time in the car.
Probably too much time with each other’s music.
New sights.
Lots of sunshine.
Absolutely no Utah.
So Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons instead.
Then days in the Colorado sunshine, adventuring, before I drop Desiree off to start her third year.
Tomorrow is the end of an era.
And the beginning of a new and beautiful chapter of my life.
And I am excited.
