In My In-Between Time

I’ve been busy with all kinds of important and heavy things lately.

I’m thankful to have the time to devote to those responsibilities, and also thankful for the in-between moments where I can take care of myself and work on my first large crochet project.

I’m happy to report it’s coming along nicely.

There are so many different stitches creating texture and interest, and the colors catch your eye as they move across the rows. I love the variety in each round, and that sometimes I still have to pull a hundred stitches to fix a problem I caught just in time.

I showed it to my sister yesterday.

She called it a work of art.

I’m not sure about that.

But I am proud of what I’ve been able to create with a hook and some yarn in such a short amount of time.

I am about two thirds of the way through the pattern.

I am excited to see how it looks when it is done.
