Wow.

Yesterday was terrible.

I cried so much for so many reasons.

Six months ago, a day like that probably would have turned into three days of crying and five bags of potato chips eaten.

But today has been wonderful.

I was productive, happy, and genuinely connected to the life around me.

I even went to burger night at the Elks Club with my girlfriend, who has been inviting me for months. I just haven't had it in me to go. In fact, I've been avoiding it like the plague.

Tonight, I went with Desiree and spent the evening getting to know my best friend's friends.

They're lovely.

Fun. Authentic. Goofy.

Nobody took themselves too seriously.

I drove home realizing I feel like I've turned a significant corner in my journey.

Between this anxiety medication and the public knowledge that my time on the school board ends in October, I feel lighter.

Like I'm cruising through life on the cutest pair of roller skates.

I am reminded of how fun it is to be me.
