A Weekend of Wonder

This weekend has been filled with winding roads, tiny mountain towns, fascinating history, wildlife sightings, and the kind of unexpected discoveries that make me happy.
Old mining equipment.
Weathered buildings.
Wooden tracks built high into the side of a rock wall.
Awe inspiring views that seemed to change around every turn.
I love all of it.
There is something about exploring new places that wakes up a very specific part of me. The curious part. The adventurous part. The part that still gets excited seeing something interesting and beautiful out the car window.
And getting to experience it with my girls makes it even better.
For Mother’s Day, instead of a gift, I asked to go explore caves, which honestly feels like the most accurate representation of my personality possible.
This has been such a beautiful way to spend the weekend.
I am so thankful.
